Product Details
This pendant is genuinely one of a kind, and the back is where it proves it. Nerikomi is a Japanese technique where colored clays are layered together and then sliced, so the pattern runs all the way through the body of the piece rather than sitting on the surface. That is why you can see it on the unglazed back, where painted decoration would show nothing at all. No two slices are ever identical. The flat triangular pendant has a soft gold tone edging and is strung on cool black beads that read as glass. It is slow, skilled, handmade work, and it deserves someone who knows what they are looking at. The Details: • Materials: Nerikomi ceramic pendant, black glass beads, gold filled clasp • Measurements: Approximately 15 inches • Closure type: Fancy lobster clasp marked 14/20, meaning 14K gold filled. The mark is on the clasp only, so the rest of the necklace is not represented as gold filled. • Markings: Unsigned pendant • Condition: ___
