This little ship has been waiting a long time for someone to wear it. It is damascene, the traditional Toledo technique where fine gold and silver are inlaid into blackened steel by hand, and the detail in the rigging and sails is remarkable for something this size. The black ground makes the gold glow. Best of all, it has never been worn. It is still attached to its original card with the Toledo jewelry hangtag on red string, exactly as it left the shop. Finding one still carded like this is uncommon.
