Beautiful vintage hinged miniature box crafted in intricate .800 silver filigree. Features extremely fine twisted-wire openwork throughout the lid, sides and base with a raised central floral motif, granulation details and remnants of a warm gold-gilt finish. Marked 800 on the central plaque. Size: 2” × 1.5” Weight: 15.78 grams Metal: .800 silver with gilt/gold-wash finish Likely European, possibly Italian, based on construction and comparable .800 silver filigree boxes. Exact maker and country have not been identified. Hinge appears intact. Vintage patina, tarnish, gilt loss, oxidation and normal age-related wear are present.
