Someone had a very good day with a palette knife. This one is built, not brushed: ridges, peaks, and slabs of crimson, rust, ochre, and bone white troweled on so thick the canvas practically has its own weather. Stand back and it reads as a landscape at sunset, a poppy field, a canyon wall catching the last light. Step in close and it is pure texture, a topographic map of somebody's very good mood. Unsigned. Stretched canvas with a center brace, unframed, so it hangs raw and gallery modern right out of the box.
