vintage 1989 ceramic salt and pepper shaker set produced for Gibson Greeting Cards by Otagiri in Japan. Each barrel-shaped shaker features a raised, hand-painted country farm scene. One shaker depicts two ducks crossing a stone bridge near a country house, and the other shows chickens roaming outside a traditional red barn. They have a cream-colored body with a twisted-rope style texture bordering the oval vignettes. They stand approximately 3.25 inches tall. Both original plastic stoppers are included. Excellent vintage condition with no chips, cracks, or flea bites observed. Perfect addition for collectors of vintage Otagiri, retro kitchenware, or farmhouse decor!
