Beautiful vintage petit point floral evening purse with matching powder compact. Features incredibly detailed multicolor floral needlework on a rich blue ground with an ornate nickel silver frame, decorative enamel-style scrollwork, filigree ball clasp, hanging floral ornament, and chain handle. The matching round compact features coordinating petit point floral needlework and retains its mirror and powder screen. Purse interior is lined in pale satin/jacquard fabric with a gathered interior pocket. Frame is stamped NICKEL SILVER. Believed to date to approximately the 1930s–1940s based on style and construction. Exact maker and country of origin are unknown. Vintage/antique condition with expected age-related wear, including patina/tarnish and oxidation to metal, wear/loss to decorative frame finish, textile creasing, and age/wear to the interior and compact.
