Tibetan vintage meditation carpet or prayer rug 18" x 18" plus fringe. Features a medallion theme on a medium blue field with coral, green and tan design. Made of wool with cotton fringe hand knotted in very good vintage condition. The photos were taken outdoors a d also indoors. The colors are vibrant but not as dark as captured in pictures. This is a vintage Tibetan rug or carpet from Dharamshala, India rug co-operative. Dharamshala is a city in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, known for its scenic beauty, Tibetan culture, and as the home of the Dalai Lama in exile. I am selling this and others for a collector friend who bought rugs there in 1998.
