Such a good one for the collected brass lovers! A vintage brass leaping antelope/gazelle, captured mid-stride over a wonderfully sculptural rocky base. The long ringed horns, tucked front legs and stretched back leg give this piece so much movement—it looks fantastic from either side. The brass has developed a beautiful naturally aged finish with areas of darker patina and touches of verdigris, particularly around the head and neck. I would absolutely leave that age and character intact. Measures approximately 6" tall × 6½" wide. Unmarked; maker unknown. Based on the casting and styling, I would place this broadly in the mid-to-late 20th century. Vintage condition with surface wear and patina consistent with age. Perfect tucked among old books, ironstone, wood and other collected brass—or give him a little room because this one deserves to be seen.
