Antique English Flow Blue by W.H. Grindley & Co. — Doris pattern, circa 1900. Absolutely gorgeous 8" Flow Blue plate produced by W.H. Grindley & Co. of Tunstall, Staffordshire, England around the turn of the 20th century. The Doris pattern features a rich cobalt floral and scrolling transfer with beautiful intentional flowing and blurring of the blue, surrounding a more defined central floral medallion. The scalloped edge is finished with wonderful molded and embossed floral/beaded details that give this pattern so much texture. Reverse is marked DORIS / W.H. GRINDLEY & CO. / F.B. / ENGLAND. The F.B. designation is associated with Grindley's Flow Blue production. Maker: W.H. Grindley & Co.
