Beautiful antique English Flow Blue dinner plate by Stanley Pottery Co. of Burslem, Staffordshire, in the highly collectible Touraine pattern. Dating to approximately 1910–1920, this plate features wonderfully deep, inky cobalt Flow Blue florals with that unmistakable soft bleeding of color into the white body. The scalloped rim is heavily decorated in cobalt with original gilt accents still visible around the edge and inner border. Even the reverse shows gorgeous blue firing/flow — exactly the kind of character I love in early Flow Blue. The Touraine pattern was originally registered in England in 1898 and later produced by Stanley Pottery after they acquired the pattern rights. Clearly marked on the reverse TOURAINE / STANLEY POTTERY CO. / ENGLAND / Rd No. 329815. Measures approximately 10" in diameter. Over 100 years old and a true antique. Expect age-related wear, including loss/wear to the original gilding and the beautiful irregularities associated with early Flow Blue production. Please see photos for condition.
