One of my absolute favorite patterns! Antique English Ridgways “Lafayette” Flow Blue dinner plate, dating approximately c. 1895–1905. This beautiful 10-inch plate features an incredibly detailed blue/gray floral transfer with delicate scrolling foliage, ribbon-like florals, a wonderfully molded scalloped rim, and remnants of the original gilt accents. The restrained flowing of the blue gives Lafayette a softer, moodier look than the heavily blurred cobalt patterns—and I think that is exactly what makes this one so special.
