Approx. 2” tall x 1.25” wide • 24.8g pair • tested 925 sterling throughout Dramatic vintage Taxco sterling statement earrings with bold sculptural draped-ribbon/pleated forms, sweeping ridges and a substantial Modernist silhouette. Dating: Likely 1980s–early 1990s, with an 1980s lean. Marked TD-76 / 925 / MEXICO; Mexico introduced this letter-number registration system circa 1979, with T identifying Taxco and D-76 denoting the registered maker/workshop. These were later converted to pierced posts. Visible adhesive residue remains on the backs from the alteration, but the earrings are structurally sound and present beautifully from the front. Good vintage condition with patina and surface wear consistent with age.
