This is a counted cross-stitch adaptation based on the iconic artwork of Sister Maria Innocentia Hummel. The original vintage kit pattern was produced by Needle Treasures. The licensed pattern design is from 1982 / 1983. A classic, handmade, completed cross-stitch depiction of a young mail carrier wearing a blue-grey uniform coat and cap. He is carrying an overflowing mailbag on his side, bundles of letters strapped to his back, and holding up a large letter sealed with a distinct red heart.
