Product Details

Up for auction is a very unique and one of a kind collection of over 160 WWII love letters and greeting cards written by Sgt. Anthony Tedesco to his wife during the World War II era. Every envelope pictured includes a letter (except for 2 miscellaneous ones), some with multiple pages. I counted 18 greeting cards as well for various holidays such as Easter, Christmas and Valentine’s Day. There are 3 postcards included. Letters are mostly dated between 1943-1944 and are addressed to his wife when they were engaged and also after they were married. Most are sent from Camp Wheeler in Georgia and Camp Cooke, California to New Britain, CT. A really fascinating piece of military history and amazing collection for those who collect vintage correspondence.
