This is the 2005 special edition release of Walter Hill's 1979 cult-classic action thriller. The plot follows a stylized New York street gang known as The Warriors, who attend a massive midnight summit called by Cyrus, the leader of the city's most powerful gang. When Cyrus is assassinated, The Warriors are framed for the crime. Stranded deep in enemy territory, they must battle their way across the urban jungle from the Bronx back to their home turf in Coney Island, Brooklyn. The Ultimate Director's Cut edition includes an introduction by Walter Hill and incorporates stylized, comic-book-inspired transitions between scenes that were left out of the original theatrical release.
