A white porcelain liquor bottle from the Taiwan Tobacco & Wine Monopoly Bureau, Republic of China, wearing a crisp black transfer scene of a gathered village court on its shoulder. Government issued spirits used to travel in style, and this bottle is the proof: teardrop form, glossy white glaze, original stopper style neck, and a red maker's stamp still bright on the underside. Empty now, of course. What happened to the contents is between the previous owner and history.
