Handmade patchwork tied quilt featuring a simple checkerboard design in warm brown and cream. The quilt front is constructed from alternating solid brown squares and cream squares printed with small brown medallion motifs. Dark thread/yarn ties secure the quilt at the intersections, giving it a traditional homemade tied-quilt appearance. The reverse is especially fun, featuring a light blue novelty print covered with whimsical green frogs reading books and sitting on stacks of books. The frog fabric also appears around the outer edge of the quilt, adding an unexpected colorful contrast to the earthy patchwork front. Pre-owned in good condition with age/use-related wear and irregularities consistent with handmade construction. A few small dark areas/marks are visible on the backing.
