This antique, 3oz, clear glass prescription medicine bottle was manufactured by the Owens Bottle Company in the year 1926. The Maker Mark (O inside a Square): The embossed "O" enclosed within a perfect square on the base is the distinctive trademark of the Owens Bottle Company. This specific "Box-O" logo was officially used between 1919 and 1929 before the company merged with the Illinois Glass Company to become Owens-Illinois. In Owens' dating system from this era, the single digit to the right of the manufacturer logo represents the year of production within that decade. The "6" confirms this bottle was manufactured in 1926. The number to the left indicates the specific glassblowing factory where it was made. Plant #9 was located in Streator, Illinois. There is a little bit of a pink glow under a 365 blacklight.
