Beautiful authentic Vintage Hagen-Renaker Large / Mama Walking Polar Bear, Model #A-328, designed by noted Hagen-Renaker artist Helen Perrin Farnlund. Produced during 1980–1993, this retired miniature depicts an adult polar bear in a wonderfully natural walking pose. The elongated head, gently modeled body and substantial paws give her a surprisingly realistic appearance while retaining the understated charm Hagen-Renaker animal figurines are known for. She features a beautiful high-gloss off-white glaze accented with delicate hand-painted black eyes and nose and subtle gray shading along the lower legs and underside. Handmade by Hagen-Renaker Pottery of San Dimas, California, this is the larger adult or “Mama” Walking Polar Bear, Model A-328, rather than one of the smaller polar bear cub models.
