Aphrodite’s Child – 666 Vertigo VEL 2-500 – U.S. 2LP pressing A landmark early-’70s psychedelic/progressive concept album composed and produced by Vangelis Papathanassiou with lyrics by Costas Ferris. 666 is built around the Book of Revelation and includes “The Four Horsemen,” “Aegian Sea,” “The Beast” and the sprawling “All the Seats Were Occupied.” This is the U.S. Vertigo/Phonogram issue with the distinctive spaceship labels and MASTERDISK JS mastering. Runouts include VEL-2-500-A-3 / B-3 / C-3 / D-3, MASTERDISK JS, with A10, B7, A6 and A1 markings. This differs from the earlier documented U.S. G.K./George Piros cut. Complete with both original printed inner sleeves/inserts; one has a very small bottom split. Record condition = VG+ with a few light hairlines - plays very well with no issues. Sleeve = VG - solid, no splits, light ring wear
