Striking antique paste brooch with an electric cobalt blue center stone surrounded by creamy faux seed pearls and six smoky gray/clear faceted paste stones. Ornate brass-tone foliate setting creates a dramatic starburst or snowflake silhouette with wonderful dark, romantic character. Construction and pin hardware appear consistent with an early 20th-century piece; estimated Edwardian era, circa 1900s–1910s. Exact age and materials are not guaranteed. Outer paste stones show darkening/cloudiness and the metal has age-related patina and wear—part of its wonderfully moody antique appearance. Please inspect photos carefully. Unmarked.
