Vintage Chinese export carved cinnabar brooch featuring the Chinese 福 (fú) character, symbolizing good fortune, happiness, and blessings. The deep red oval centerpiece is framed by ornate silver-tone filigree with floral motifs, scrolling details, and twisted-rope edging. The reverse is stamped CHINA and fitted with a locking pin closure. Acquired and represented as genuine carved cinnabar lacquer; the material has not been laboratory authenticated. Metal content is unmarked and untested. Measures approximately 1¾ inches wide by 1¼ inches tall, estimated using the quarter shown for scale.
