1960s-1970s, J. & G. Meakin, Americana series, Mount Vernon pattern, Paul Revere’s ride 6.25” bowl The Americana pattern series is a brown transferware ironstone collection manufactured by the British pottery company J. & G. Meakin for Montgomery Ward’s Style House line during the late 1960s and 1970s. Released heavily to celebrate the 1976 United States Bicentennial, the series features detailed illustrations of historic colonial landmarks and patriotic events, such as Mount Vernon and the Boston Tea Party.
