This is a post-WWII Japanese cigarette case with the CPO diamond mark. CPO stood for Central Purchasing Office, and these goods were sold through U.S. military exchanges in Japan. So we’re looking at roughly the late 1940s/early ’50s. CPO = Central Purchasing Office. This diamond mark was used on Japanese goods sold through U.S. military exchange/PX channels during the post-WWII occupation period.
