Product Details

This is a small white glazed porcelain kitchen storage canister in a tapered milk-churn shape with a flared, rolled collar rim and cobalt blue block lettering reading "FLOUR" across the front. Pieces like this were produced as part of English-style farmhouse kitchen canister sets, with the body unmarked or bearing only a faint impressed maker's mark inside the base, so the maker cannot be firmly attributed. Based on the glossy white glaze, the sans-serif blue lettering, and the retro dairy-churn silhouette, it dates to the mid-to-late twentieth century, most likely the 1970s–1980s country-kitchen revival period.
