This is a round blown-glass coffee carafe/decanter fitted with a nickel-chrome hinged lid collar and a shaped dark wooden handle, the top badge stamped "VACULATOR PAT. PEND." The Vaculator name was used by the Vaculator Company (a mid-century American maker of vacuum-style coffee brewers and serving carafes), with the heat-resistant glass body supplied by a commercial glass house of the period. Styling, the patent-pending mark, and the streamlined chrome hardware place its production in the 1930s to 1940s.
