Product Details

This is a small hand-held porcelain creamer, or miniature pitcher, finished in a glossy canary-yellow glaze over a white porcelain body, with a paneled cylindrical form, a pinched pouring spout and an angular D-shaped handle. The underside bears an orange-stamped maker's device above "GERMANY" with the pattern or mold number 202, an export mark used on German porcelain made for the American and British markets — the whiteware body, hand-applied color glaze and stamped country-of-origin mark are all consistent with that period of German porcelain production. Following the seller's identification, it dates to the 1920s–1930s, an era when brightly monochrome-glazed German breakfast and tea wares were widely exported.
