Beautiful hand-painted underglaze decoration featuring a charming Dutch/Amish-style woman surrounded by colorful stylized floral accents. Large molded scallop-shell form with raised ribbed details and blue-trimmed edge. Backstamped “Blue Ridge China – Hand Painted Underglaze – Southern Potteries, Inc. – Made in U.S.A.” Wonderful mid-century American pottery piece and an especially fun example of Blue Ridge figural decoration.
