Vintage 1940s Planters Salted Mixed Nuts key-wind tin advertising can, manufactured by the Planters Nut & Chocolate Co., Suffolk, VA. Features bright red lithographed graphics showcasing the iconic Mr. Peanut with his top hat and cane alongside an illustrated assortment of mixed nuts, "Vacuum Packed" lettering, and original "Directions For Opening" key-strip text with a 1944 copyright. The can retains its original matching slip lid with the raised bracket for the opening key (now removed/opened). Shows authentic aged patina with scattered rim and base oxidation, surface rust spotting on the metal lid and bottom, and light edge wear, but retains vibrant red color and crisp, legible graphic appeal.
