Sweet 1869 Antique Civil War Purple Wool Dress Baby Infant Size Dated Ruffle Hem Condition is as found and shown in the photos. All of the buttons are missing and need to be replaced. Overall, there's a good amount of wear with losses to wool, but the fabric is sturdy and not fragile. Lined with polished cotton. Ruffles at the hem. Inside the hem is the year it was made, attached with a pin. Pretty pattern with black accents in the fabric. Measurements - bust flat across 10" and length 15". Unusual to find such a small sized dress in such a vibrant color for the period. Would be able to fit an antique composition doll as well (larger sized / infant size).
