​This striking vintage sculpture originates from the renowned S.C. Vizcarra Arts & Handicrafts workshop in Manila, Philippines. It still retains its original blue and white paper label on the base with the inventory number TG-216. ​The piece features a beautiful abstract, mid-century modern style bas-relief design depicting a mother holding a child with intricate textured detailing. Crafted from solid wood with a rich reddish tone, it showcases a warm, natural grain pattern throughout. ​The sculpture measures approx. 14.5 in height including the base, with a base width of about 7 in and a body profile depth of 2 to 2.5 in. It weighs 1 pound and 6 ounces. ​ Good vintage condition with age-consistent wear. There is visible old wood glue overrun from the pedestal to the main figure that appears to be from the original manufacturing process.
