Crown Trifari gold plated, Trifanium treated three-dimensional peony or chrysanthemum flower brooch. Textured, layered curling petals, 2”. In great condition. Instead of base metals, Trifari created and patented its own secret metal recipe in 1947 called "Trifanium". This alloy didn't tarnish easily. The company then polished it and coated it with a high-quality layer of real gold, creating what they sold as "golden-toned Trifanium".
