Vintage 1950s Charlie Chaplin Style Hobo Bar Lamp Red Globe Working Description: Very cool vintage mid-century novelty lamp featuring a Charlie Chaplin-style hobo figure clinging to a streetlamp post while holding a bottle. This distinctive figural design is associated with the popular 1950s–1960s vintage bar and novelty lamp market. The lamp has a striking deep red globe and black figural base with gold-tone socket hardware. The lamp is working, and the red globe illuminates beautifully when turned on. The globe currently installed on this lamp is a replacement red globe and is not represented as the original shade. The red globe does, however, give the lamp a particularly striking appearance and lights up beautifully. Condition Good vintage condition with visible age-related wear. The black finish shows scattered chips, scratches and areas of finish loss consistent with age and use. The gold-tone socket hardware has considerable wear to the finish. The painted facial and hand details also show some wear. There is visible wear/cracking around the base area; please examine the photographs carefully for the exact condition. The vintage electrical cord is also shown in the photos. The lamp has been tested and is working. The red globe has some minor surface wear but displays very well.
