Produced by William Freund and Sons, this metal tray is a lovely example of the Wedding Invitation Engraving Plate, a relic of times gone by. This particular plate originates from Chicago, Illinois, but ended up in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin as the family heirs moved through the midwest. "Gerhardt" transitioned to "Gerrit". This is a lovely keepsake for anybody with connections to Chicago, Sturgeon Bay, or the DeJonge or Fox families. The tray states: Mrs. Flora E. Fox Announces the Marriage of her Daughter Jannette to Mr. Gerhardt DeJonge on Friday the Third of July Nineteen Hundred and Twenty-Five In the City of Chicago Antique condition, with noticeable patina.
