This vintage studio pottery bowl brings incredible earthy, wabi-sabi energy to any space. Hand-thrown and fired using the traditional raku method, it features a stunning white crackle glaze that has been beautifully carbon-stained by the smoke firing process. The unpredictable black smoke patterns and intricate crazing make this a completely one-of-a-kind piece of ceramic art. Designed with a low, squat profile and two charming pulled side handles, it looks perfectly at home as a rustic centerpiece or shelf accent. The piece is hand-incised on the bottom with a signature and dated 1998. It is in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks outside of the intentional raku crazing. Because this is an authentic raku-fired piece, the clay remains porous and is not water-safe, making it ideal for dry display or as a striking standalone decorative vessel.
