Beautiful vintage black amethyst glass flower frog featuring 16 flower/stem holes. The glass appears nearly jet black under normal lighting, but when held against a strong light it reveals a gorgeous deep purple/amethyst tone. Measures approximately 4¼–4½ inches across. Based on the size, shape and 16-hole configuration, this piece is attributed to L.E. Smith Glass, although it is unmarked and the maker cannot be guaranteed. Wonderful piece of vintage floral and Depression-era glass for displaying flowers or adding to a black amethyst glass collection. Condition: Vintage condition with normal age-related wear.
