These fossils preserve ancient wood from roughly 30–40 million years ago! 🌋🌲 💚 What makes Hampton Butte special? The material can display stunning shades of deep olive, turquoise, and mint green, mixed with rich browns, reds, and oranges. These colors are created by mineral replacement and changes in iron during the fossilization process.
