Oregon Waterline Thunderegg 🌊🪨 A freeform polished half of an Oregon Thunderegg! This piece came to me rough and wonky, so rather than forcing it into a traditional shape, I embraced its natural freeform character. Oregon Thundereggs are the official state rock of Oregon, and this is a beautiful example of a waterline thunderegg. The flat, parallel horizontal bands inside the agate formed millions of years ago as silica-rich fluids settled level inside the cooling volcanic cavity, filling it layer by layer.
