Original 1891 Union Pacific Railway Company material voucher, issued to The Ashton Valve Co. of Boston, Massachusetts, for railroad equipment including valves and related fittings. Dated July 13, 1891 in Omaha with later processing/payment markings through August. Great period office character throughout with numerous bold purple and red/pink Union Pacific auditor, comptroller, treasury and payment stamps, handwritten calculations, approvals and multiple original signatures. Final receipt is signed for The Ashton Valve Co. Approx. size: 8 x 11 inches. Double sided with original “Distribution of Accounts” ledger on reverse. Comes folded as originally stored/filed. Approximately 135 years old. Excellent crossover piece for Union Pacific, Boston/Massachusetts, railroad, industrial, steam equipment and 19th-century business ephemera amd train collectors.
