This matching pair is the Oneida Chippendale silverplate hollowware salt and pepper shaker design, identified by the tall flared bodies, square pedestal bases, domed pierced tops, and Oneida crest stamped into the underside. Replacements Ltd. catalogs this exact form as Oneida’s discontinued Chippendale Silverplate Hollowware salt & pepper set, and boxed examples of the same design are commonly dated to the late 1980s and marked Made in Japan. One shaker still retains its original blue tarnish-resistant care label, which specifically instructs cleaning with a soft damp cloth and no silver polish. Each shaker measures approximately 4.5” tall x 1.5” wide x 1.25” long. They have light surface scratches consistent with vintage use but display beautifully.
