Gorgeous vintage mid-century style art glass ashtray in smoky olive green. Heavy, thick glass formed into a dramatic freeform flower/petal shape with sculptural applied glass cigarette rests around the rim. Beautiful movement in the glass and especially striking when held to the light. Approx. 7" across. Unmarked; maker and country of origin unknown. The hand-worked form and applied rests are reminiscent of Italian/Murano art glass, but no maker attribution is guaranteed. Would also make a fabulous catchall, trinket dish or display piece for a non-smoker.
