The cover carries an APR 18, 1981 Cincinnati, Ohio postmark — the very date Tom Seaver recorded the 3,000th strikeout of his legendary Major League career. Seaver reached the milestone while pitching for the Cincinnati Reds, becoming only the fifth pitcher in Major League history to record 3,000 career strikeouts.
