Black Forest style carved wood stag head wall plaque, banner marked Munchen 1967. Hand carved wooden stag head with glass eyes and applied antlers, mounted on a shield shaped plaque with a black painted edge and a carved banner across the front. The banner is hand lettered Munchen 1967. The antlers appear to be real rather than carved, set into the wooden head, which is typical of this form. Condition: good honest age. The black paint along the plaque edge is chipped and worn, mostly down one side. There is a paper or fabric label remnant glued to the back. The carving itself and the antlers are sound.
