Large vintage Italian blown glass Christmas ornament in the form of a whimsical snail. Made from transparent ruby-red glass with a large dimensional spiral shell, elongated tail, sculpted head, and delicate antennae. Gold glitter accents highlight the spiral shell, antennae, and tail tip. The original metal hanging cap is marked “ITALY.” Measures approximately 6” long and about 3” high. Very good vintage condition with light age-related surface wear and minor glitter loss. No major cracks or breaks observed. The antennae and tail remain intact. Please review all photos closely for condition. A striking and unusual mid-century Italian figural ornament with excellent color, size, and display presence.
