Gorgeous vintage Sarah Coventry “Catherine” convertible brooch and pendant, dating to approximately 1972. This ornate Victorian-revival design features a luminous oval faux-amethyst cabochon surrounded by smaller purple rhinestones, creamy faux pearls, and wonderfully detailed silver-tone floral metalwork. A built-in loop on the reverse allows it to be worn as either a traditional brooch or as a pendant on a chain. Signed © SARAH COV on the reverse. Vintage pre-owned condition. The large center cabochon has visible surface scratches, and one small upper purple accent stone shows wear or chipping. There is also minor age-related discoloration around a few settings. The pin stem, rollover clasp, and pendant loop are present. Please review all photographs carefully for condition.
