Product Details

vintage Anheuser-Busch Michelob beer barrel stein, designed with a deliberate crackle glaze (crazed) finish. The front features the classic mid-century Michelob branding. It showcases a bold red and yellow ribbon pennant alongside cursive scrollwork accenting the name. This specific version of the logo was heavily utilized on promotional barware throughout the 1970s and 1980s.The heavy network of dark lines covering the mug is called a crackle glaze. While most ceramic pieces develop "crazing" accidentally over time, many breweriana mugs from this era were intentionally fired with a special glaze that shrinks faster than the clay body. This creates an immediate, stylized "antique European beer hall" look right out of the kiln.
