Beautiful early 1911 embossed postcard featuring a young cowboy in full Western attire with hat, boots, gun belt and pistol, alongside a large horseshoe, flowers and ornate scrollwork. The front reads “Heartiest Congratulations” and has a rich metallic-gold background with heavy raised embossing throughout. The Western cowboy subject makes this much more distinctive than a typical congratulations postcard. Postally used with original 1¢ Franklin stamp and 1911 postmark. Handwritten message and address remain on the reverse. A great collectible for fans of Western Americana, cowboy imagery, antique postcards, embossed cards, early 1900s ephemera, horseshoe motifs, or vintage greeting cards.
