Fantastic antique Santa Claus Christmas postcard, postally used on December 24, 1914 — Christmas Eve! The front features a wonderful early Santa scene with Santa standing beside a blazing fireplace, oversized boots hanging from the mantel, toys and his sack, along with the charming intentionally childlike spelling “Santy Klaws.” The reverse carries “The Pink of Perfection” trademark associated with The Fairman Co., Cincinnati/New York, an excellent identifying detail for collectors of early illustrated postcards. The Christmas Eve 1914 postmark makes this example especially fun — this Santa card was literally traveling through the mail on Christmas Eve more than 110 years ago.
