*cross-listed* A very cool piece of mid-century novelty jewelry: a Jewelarama holographic refraction disc pendant from the 1960s, signed “Jewelarama ©” on the reverse. Jewelarama was a branch of Edmund Scientific Co. (Barrington, NJ), known for “Refraction Jewels” featuring an etched metal disc that splits light into a full rainbow starburst as it catches the light or moves — you can see the effect clearly in photos. Prong-set silver-tone disc with a simple scalloped bezel and loop bail. Please note some light surface wear consistent with age, visible in photos.
