A lovely Victorian-revival style pendant featuring a reverse-carved glass intaglio cameo — a woman’s profile carved from behind the glass so it appears frosted white against a black backing, a technique historically associated with German and Czech glasswork. Set in an ornate heart-shaped gold-tone filigree frame, bordered with a ring of seed pearls and an outer halo of opalescent rhinestones, with a scrolled filigree bail (also set with opalescent rhinestones) and a gold rope tassel drop below.
